SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE MOVIE. The movie is shit compared to the book.

This book is so unbelievably sad and real. The writer goes into details about his experience surviving something like six or seven different concentration camps, including Auchwitz. He talks about how he lost his family and how he managed to survive the Nazis. The author came to my high school to talk about it, and even now, you can tell he's still incredibly shaken by what happened to him. A must read for any history lover.

Okay. So if we're talking about favorite television program RIGHT NOW, I'd have to say (and you Gleeks are going to hate me for this because its not Glee) Modern Family.
I mean, really? Who doesn't love those two? Especially Cam. I love me some Glee, don't get me wrong, but some of the episodes seem like they're just forcing music in because they're supposed to have it in there. And come on. Some of the plots of some of the episodes are pretty ridiculous. I think this past week's episode was one of the best, if not the best (next to the pilot), episodes of the season.
If we're talking favorite show of ALL TIME, I'd have to say
BUFFY IS LOVE. Except when they brought in Dawn. Like, really? They couldn't find another reason to bring Glory into the picture? They had to bring in the most useless character EVER? God. Dawn just pisses me off.

Work
Work sucks. I hate my job. I hate how much time I spend at my job. I hate the fact that we have a moron employed as the head of housekeeping who does absolutely nothing to help this hotel. I suppose its better than working at Starbucks and I should be grateful to even be employed, but still. I'm over just about every single person that works here except for my boss Kathy. She's like my second mother. She's probably the best boss I've ever had in my life. I couldn't ask for someone better. Again, I should just be happy that I have a decent job where I get paid to sit around and check facebook or RP or whatever. Though, the job does have its ups and downs. Sometimes, I just wish I could scream at these morons who call or come in. What possesses people to think they can be a complete douchebag to someone who is just trying to do their job? I'm sorry. You have absolutely no right to talk to me like that. Its not my fault you didn't mapquest the directions before you left, or you fucked up your reservation, or you booked the wrong type of room. Honestly. This guy yelled at me because he booked the wrong room type and I didn't have it available to give him when he got here. I am not your mother. I am not going to behind you and clean up your mistakes. Fuck off. Customer service jobs make me just realize how much I hate people.
Love
I've been dating Mike since April. In September, he told me he loved me. On Sunday, he asked me to move in with him. Its all very new and exciting. After dating such losers for so long, I'm glad to have found someone that actually gets me. I honestly couldn't ask for someone better. He understands exactly how I think and who I am. My ex would make a huge fuss about me going to Rocky and dressing up. Mike? He came once to see what it was about, loved it, and joined cast. For my birthday, he told me he was going to take me to this Rotary Club gala event thing, and ended up surprising me with RENT tickets. He's the sweetest, most amazing guy I've ever met. I consider myself very lucky and very blessed to have him in my life.
Rocky
So back in July, I auditioned to play Trixie (the hot little mama who takes her close off during the opening credits). In October, I was asked if I wanted to play Janet. I'm just glad to even be on cast, let alone performing. I wanted to be on a cast back when I was living in San Diego and they were just so cliquey and so exclusive, it kind of turned me off to their cast. They made me go through a phone interview as well as an application process. And with the Bawdy Caste its like "Can you make it to x amount of shows? GREAT! Welcome to cast!"

You guys might remember earlier this year, I was having troubles with my roommate. Things aren't as bad anymore. I think we finally learned how to live together and not want to murder each other. Cami got her life back on track and I got mine on track. I think now that we're both pretty happy, we stop picking at each other, which I think was what was happening back then.
School
I am DYING to go back to school. Here's the kicker though: Because I'm moving in with Mike, I can't really go back to school in the spring like I was hoping to. I owe the school I was going to in SD money and I have a book from the library that I didn't return, so there I can't register for classes anywhere until that's taken care of. I've asked my gma to pay the fine, but she won't. The fine is for unpaid registration fees. Since she was the one paying for school at the time, I figured she would pay it. But she said she wouldn't. That's fine, but I just want to be done so fucking bad. I'm tired of this dead end job. I want my god damned degree and I want to start teaching already. So I'm going to look into online classes and go from there. I'm determined to go back for reals in the summer, or at the very latest, the fall. I'm tired of screwing around. I want to finish this already.
Well, I think that's it for my life. Its pretty average and boring. I just needed to kill time at work before I'm off. Mkay. Night kids.
I've been dating a really great guy for the past five months. I don't think I've ever been happier with anyone else. He treats me exactly the way a girl should be treated. AND he joined the Bawdy Caste. How fucking sweet is that? Not only does he embrace the fact that I like to take my clothes off for random strangers at Rocky, he joined the fucking cast. My ex boyfriend would freak the fuck out if I went wearing a corset and short shorts. Oh, side note. My ex boyfriend married the whore he dated before me and they now live with his fucking crazy ass parents and his weird little sister that pulls out all her eyelashes. I so won that break up. Anyway. The point is, I'm happier than I've been in a long time and I have him to thank for it. (And Melody too. After all, we did meet at her wedding reception).
So other than dating Mike and going to Rocky, that's all the interesting shit that has happened to me. OH. Last night, Creeper McCreeperson came downstairs at like... 2 am. I'm at work, trying to stay awake and he sits in the chairs right next to the front desk. He starts asking me all these questions about myself. I give him really short, non conversational answers. Before he goes to bed, he walks over to me and says "So. You're here, I'm here. I was wondering if you wanted to go upstairs and get intimate." INTIMATE. NO, FUCKER. I DON'T. EW. I felt all kinds of nasty.
Anyway. That's it for now, I s'pose.

So we had our Rocky Horror Pride show yesterday, where I was to audition for Trixie. For those of you out of the RHPS loop, Trixie pretty much does a little strip tease for the audience at the beginning of the show while opening credits are rolling. I can't even begin to explain how nervous I was. I'm sure everyone was tired of me freaking out over nothing. But, like most auditions, I was putting too much thought into it. I mean, really, all I really needed to do was go up there and strut my shit like I was the hottest bitch who ever walked this planet. So after nearly falling over twice, running out of ideas for what to do, and ended up doing a move or two from the famous "Flashdance" scene, I passed my audition. I can't wait to start doing this for reals for reals. Omg.
So Rob and I stayed in the City to go to Pride this morning. Oh. My. God. I want to march in that parade so fucking bad, you guys don't even know. I don't know why the Bawdy Caste doesn't have a float. We would get HUGE numbers. I mean, imagine the advertisement we could do? Anyway. The parade was great. A lot better than the rinky dink San Diego pride I saw last year. But the best part about it, San Francisco mayor and California Governor hopeful Gavin Newsom was marching (yes, marching, not riding in a car) in the parade! He was like... five feet from me. And holy shit, guys. He's fucking HOT. I'd hit it. And I wouldn't even try to hide it, either. All I have to say is, he has my vote, that's for sure.
Unfortunately, my first San Francisco Pride experience was cut short because I had to be at work by 4 and we were scared that if we stayed too long, traffic leaving SF would be a total bitch. So we left the parade at 1230p. Fail. We ended up getting back to Sac after stopping at Mary's Pizza Shack at like... 330. So I sat around work for 30 minutes and started my shift. So that's where I'm at right now. Sitting at work. With one more check in and three more hours of my shift. I suppose I should be doing laundry, but, um, talk about wasting my life. Lol I kid, I kid.
I'm working like... 9 days in a row, which sucks because I don't have any time to wash my uniform for work. And of course I only have one. My little brother is flying up from SD to spend 4th of July with me. Which kinda sucks because I don't get my holiday pay on the 4th. Uggh. Oh well. Okay. I'm gonna stop rambling and go... do something else.
Since the news that a new Buffy movie will come out sans Joss Whedon, we've gotten the sense that fans have been a little perturbed.
Fear not, because perhaps there is a light at the end of your vampire-loving tunnel!

A source is revealing that the beloved cult vampire classic, which made the move to comics after the show ran it's course, could be returning to the small screen in an animated show based off of the comics. Very few details are available, but it stands to reason that the show will continue in the Buffyverse Whedon had created, thus being more appealing to fans.
As for Whedon's involvement, the source says: “Whedon’s involved, but not on an ‘in-the-studio’ kind of way. He will pop in at bench-marks and give the thumbs up to make the studio happen. Not as much involvement as any of us want, but its better than not any at all.”
We see a lot of potential in this idea. For one thing, we bet it would be easier to get the original cast to come back if all they had to do was voice-overs. Plus, we'd rather see an animated Sarah Michelle Gellar kick butt than the live one. She's getting kind of old and very pregnant!
